Are you a passionate and experienced nursing leader looking to make a significant impact?

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as the Directorate Head of Nursing for Gynaecology, Outpatients and Private Patients within the Women’s, Children’s and Support Services Division.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide the nursing leadership and management for our outpatient, private patients and gynaecology services.

 

The Trust has outpatient facilities at the following sites: Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital, and community sites at Farnham, Fleet, Aldershot, The Parapet, King Edward VII, and St Mark’s. They see over one million patients each year and manages a large, diverse nursing and AHP workforce.

 

The Trust runs gynaecology nurse led clinics, including colposcopy and hysteroscopy, and support the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service on both Frimley Park Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital.

 

Our Parkside, private patients, facility has three inpatients wards and outpatient facilities across Frimley Park Hospital, Heatherwood Hospital and Wexham Park Hospital.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for nursing services within the Directorate.
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative care models.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with patients, families, and the community to enhance the patient experience.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Significant experience in a senior nursing leadership role
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and improving clinical outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.

  • Current NMC registration – Registered Nurse Child or Registered Sick Children’s Nurse

  • Experience – 2yrs at a senior nurse level
