Main duties of the job
As a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician in ED, you will:

Deliver a comprehensive medicines management service within the Emergency Department

Provide expert advice and practical support to clinical staff on medicines-related matters

Promote the safe, effective and economical use of medicines
-
Undertake a range of technical pharmacy duties to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care

Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement
-
Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy and ED teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

About You
We are seeking someone who:

Is a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), or a Pre-Registration Student eligible for registration this year

Demonstrates strong initiative and a proactive approach

Works effectively both independently and as part of a team

Is committed to maintaining high professional standards

Has excellent communication and organisational skills

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered as a Pharmacy technician with GPHC
- Medicines Management experience/ accreditation (GPhC recognised course)
Desirable criteria
- GPhC Recognised Accredited Checking qualification
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Current/ recent work in pharmacy sector
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in hospital pharmacy
Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Focus on quality patient-centred care
- Computer literacy

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
