We are expanding our team and are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated Emergency Department (ED) team at Frimley Park Hospital. Main duties of the job

As a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician in ED, you will:

  • Deliver a comprehensive medicines management service within the Emergency Department

  • Provide expert advice and practical support to clinical staff on medicines-related matters

  • Promote the safe, effective and economical use of medicines

  • Undertake a range of technical pharmacy duties to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care

  • Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement

  • Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy and ED teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

About You

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), or a Pre-Registration Student eligible for registration this year

  • Demonstrates strong initiative and a proactive approach

  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Is committed to maintaining high professional standards

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills

Essential criteria
  • Registered as a Pharmacy technician with GPHC
  • Medicines Management experience/ accreditation (GPhC recognised course)
Desirable criteria
  • GPhC Recognised Accredited Checking qualification

Experience & Knowledge

  • Current/ recent work in pharmacy sector
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in hospital pharmacy
