Clinical Teaching Fellow in Ageing and Health

ST1-2

Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic doctor at FY3/ST1–ST4 level to join the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust as an Undergraduate Clinical Teaching Fellow in Ageing and Health.  The post has been created to enhance teaching for medical and PA students.

The Trust plays a significant role in medical student teaching for students from City, St George’s University of London, and Southampton University, as well as PA students from the University of Surrey. From September 2025, the Trust also welcomed Year 2 students from the University of Surrey Medical School.

Main duties of the job

This is one of 14 fixed-term (12-month) Clinical Teaching Fellow posts in Medical Education at RSFT. The role is full-time and includes the opportunity to undertake a fully funded Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Education (or equivalent) at an institution of the candidate’s choice, with dedicated study time.

50% of the post-holder’s time will be spent on undergraduate teaching activities and CPD from Monday to Friday. The remaining 50% will be clinical work, primarily in the Inpatient Older Persons Assessment and Liaison (iOPAL) service, working with the Ageing and Health team under the supervision of an iOPAL Consultant.
