Job overview
Are you looking to join a dynamic, forward thinking department and expand your clinical and non-clinical skills? We have a fantastic opportunity for you if you are looking to broaden your existing clinical knowledge within Oncology. Relevant NHS experience including basic rotations within medicine, neurology and musculoskeletal is essential.
We pride ourselves in supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, and non-clinical training. We have students on placement in specialties across the department. We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Multidisciplinary Teams across both inpatients and outpatients.
The team provides a 7 day service across inpatient Medicine and Oncology. You will spend your time based on the Oncology ward, so will need skills to assess and treat a broad caseload.
Our clinical staff are involved in Trust level clinical and non-clinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit and evidence based practice.
Main duties of the job
To provide physiotherapy to relevant patients within clinical specialty area, in a range of settings including inpatients, outpatients and patient homes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To assess and treat patient’s in relevant rotational area. To support the team in the organisation and provision of an efficient, high quality and co-ordinated physiotherapy service for patients in each area. To undertake a defined clinical caseload. To ensure that patient and service standards and priorities are met. To provide clinical supervision to assigned junior physiotherapists, technical instructors, physiotherapy assistants and students.

- BSc Physiotherapy
Desirable criteria
- Member of CSP
- Member of Specific interest group
- Post graduate qualifications in Respiratory
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Previous Acute NHS experience at Band 5 level
- Achieved core skills in all core Junior rotations, including specialty area/s
- Previous acute NHS experience
Desirable criteria
- Previous Senior Experience in Specialty Area
