Locum Consultant
Job overview
We are excited to invite applications for the role of Locum Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in Cardiothoracic Imaging to join the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust for a fixed period of 12 months.
Based in Guildford, we are a tertiary cancer centre and serve a population of over two million, offering cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment services. We are dedicated to providing world-class care to our community and beyond, supported by a forward-thinking Trust committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
If you are passionate about delivering high-quality imaging services and want to make a real difference to patient care, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join our team of twenty five consultant radiologists, deliver cardiothoracic imaging and contribute to the general radiology service including a 1:15 on-call commitment.
As part of our multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The Royal Surrey is renowned for its strong research partnerships, particularly with the University of Surrey and the Surrey Cancer Research Institute, making it an ideal environment for those with a passion for research and teaching. We offer mentoring and comprehensive support for professional development, making this an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced consultants.
Working for our organisation
Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust. Recognising that our 5000 colleagues are our greatest strength, we offer a comprehensive health and wellbeing program along with a commitment to developing and advancing your career. Our diverse and welcoming Royal Surrey family will ensure you that you feel valued from your initial interview through your entire tenure.
We are clinically led and provide joined up care by bridging the gap between hospital and community services alongside regional specialist cancer care. Our main acute hospital site is in Guildford with community hospital sites at Milford, Haslemere and Cranleigh. We provide adult community health services in homes across Guildford and Waverley.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have given us an overall rating of Outstanding.
Royal Surrey has a strong reputation and history to build on. We are proud of our achievements and we are investing in our colleagues through our commitment to supporting professional development as well as investing more than £45 million in our physical environment and new equipment in the next few years. There has never been a better time to join us.
Although it isn't the Trusts normal practice, adverts may close early, so you are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible.
