Join Our Team – Health Based Place of Safety (HBPoS)

We are seeking compassionate and committed staff to work within our Health Based Place of Safety (HBPoS). This is a vital service providing a safe, supportive environment for people detained under the Mental Health Act who require urgent mental health assessment and care.

About the HBPoS:
The HBPoS is a specialist facility designed to ensure individuals in crisis are cared for in a health-focused, therapeutic setting. It plays a crucial role in safeguarding dignity, promoting recovery, and ensuring timely access to assessment and treatment.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate support to individuals in crisis.

  • Maintain a safe, calm and respectful environment.

  • Work alongside mental health professionals, police, and ambulance services.

  • Support service users’ immediate needs and escalate concerns appropriately.

  • Complete accurate documentation and follow health & safety procedures.
