Job overview

Here in the Psychologically Informed Consultation and Training (PICT) Team we offer training and consultation to staff who support people experiencing complex emotional needs and personality disorder across Surrey Heartlands and NE Hants. We have an exciting opportunity for a full or part time band 5 trainer with lived experience to join the team.

The Primary Care Personality Disorder Pathway, including PICT, has recently been awarded Gold – Lived Experience Charter Status. This demonstrates the organisations have quality standards, best practices, and a commitment to improving the inclusive recruitment and retention practices of people with lived experience. We were specifically recognised for the quality of our personal development pathways for those with lived experience with great employment opportunities at all levels of seniority.

The post holder will bring lived experience and knowledge of personality disorder or difficulties to support the delivery of consultation and training to the wider primary care system, focusing on the upskilling of a wide range of professionals and teams, helping them to understand and work with compassion and confidence with people with traits, or a formal diagnosis of, personality disorder.

You will join a friendly and supportive team of staff of lived experience trainers, psychotherapist, clinical psychologists and an administrator.  This would be a diverse role with opportunities to contribute to the development of the service as well as co-produce and co-deliver consultation and training. There will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD, training and reflective practice.
