Perseid Schools are looking for a  Highly specialist children’s Physiotherapist – Team lead to join the team via Bank for Epsom & St Helier Trust.

This is a full time & term-time, Monday - Friday role. The team are looking for the below skills & experience:

- Significant post-registration Specialist paediatric physiotherapy experience, including working with children and young people with SEND and complex needs.

- Experience undertaking CPIP assessments and supporting children and young people within education, community and clinical settings.

- Skilled in evidence-based assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome measurement.

- Experience leading or developing services

- Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.

-  Knowledge of clinical governance, risk assessment, safeguarding and record keeping standards.

-  Experience delivering training and advice to families, carers, education staff and healthcare professionals.

- Experience supervising and appraising staff.

- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions, including postural management, orthotics, hydrotherapy, seating and specialist equipment.

-  Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

-  Strong organisational, analytical and workload prioritisation abilities.

- Competent IT skills and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.

- Ability to undertake manual handling activities safely.

Main duties of the job

-  Lead the delivery and ongoing development of physiotherapy services within Perseid schools

- Support the Service Manager in service planning, performance monitoring and service improvement initiatives.  

- Build effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams, schools, families and external agencies.

- Manage a highly complex caseload and provide specialist clinical advice on assessment and intervention.

- Oversee CPIP assessments and support clinical decision-making across the team.

-  Supervise, mentor and develop Band 6 physiotherapists, assistants and students.

-  Lead audits, governance activities, quality improvement projects and implementation of evidence-based practice

-  Maintain professional standards, clinical governance and accurate record keeping.

-  Ensure safe use of equipment and compliance with health, safety and infection control policies.

- Participate in continuing professional development, training and peer support activities.

- Promote equality, diversity and the effective use of NHS resources.

-  Develop and review clinical pathways, policies, standards and protocols.

-Build and maintain effective relationships with schools, commissioners, families and external agencies.
