Locum Consultant in Anaesthetics

Following significant investment to expand our workforce and meet growing service demands, we are excited to offer a number of newly created roles across our anaesthetics, critical care and theatre teams. These posts represent a proactive step in enhancing our capacity, improving patient care, and supporting our staff with the resources they need.

We are looking to appoint two full-time an Locum Consultant Anaesthetist for 12 months fixed term contract. The job plan comprises of a weekly average of 9 PAs of clinical work spread over specialties (including on call) and 1 SPA . Further job plan details can be found within the job description, depending on service requirement there maybe an element of on calls.

The successful candidate will join a department that is friendly, engaged and provides excellent training and mentor support. The successful appointee will work as an integral part of the team and have equal access to junior staff.

East Surrey is the principle hospital for emergencies and inpatients, with day case surgery at Crawley Hospital. Anaesthetists are expected to be available across both hospital sites dependent on operational requirements.
