Anatomical Pathology Technician

Job overview
To act as a qualified Anatomical Pathology Technician providing an body store and post mortem service at East Surrey Hospital. To participate in the admission and released of deceased and the busy post mortem and forensic service on behalf of Surrey Coroner and Thames Valley Police.
Assist and support the Site Leads and other staff with all mortuary activities using local SOPs and trust policies.
To apply to knowledge expected of an Anatomical Pathology Technician, to the preparation of bodies for Post Mortem and be responsible to the Senior/Chief Technician in the delivery of high-quality Post-Mortem services.
Although Diploma NVQ level 4 is listed as Essential, consideration will be given to any candidate who may not have level 4 on the proviso that they attend and pass this at the soonest opportunity. Band 4 will be paid until completion.
