Employer heading
Senior Capital Projects Manager
NHS AfC: Band 8a
Job overview
As the Band 8a Project Manager for the UTC project, you will lead the strategic planning and delivery of a complex, high-profile initiative from inception through to completion, ensuring it delivers meaningful improvements for patients, staff, and visitors. Working closely with the Head of Capital Planning, you will take full responsibility for driving the project forward, ensuring it is aligned to Trust priorities and delivered to the highest standards of quality, cost, and time, while achieving value for money.
You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including planning, governance, financial management, and programme oversight, ensuring robust processes are in place and maintained. The role requires strong leadership, enabling you to delegate effectively, support staff development, and foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment. You will proactively manage risks and budget pressures, ensuring timely delivery and producing comprehensive financial and highlight reports for senior stakeholders.
While your primary focus will be the UTC project, you will also manage and support a wider portfolio of capital projects as required, applying a consistent, strategic approach and demonstrating flexibility to respond to organisational priorities.
