Job overview

The Histopathology Service for East Surrey Hospital is provided by Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services. We are currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant Band 2  to be based at the East Surrey Hospital site.

The department at the East Surrey Hospital site receives over 30,000 specimens per year and  undertakes specimen reception and specimen dissection, andrology and histopathology reporting on site, with the processing and post processing activity occurring at the main laboratory at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.

This would suit someone interested in a role in pathology laboratory healthcare.

The successful applicant will be conscientious and enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team.
