Job overview

We are seeking 2 part time (1 x 15 hours & 1 x 22.5 hours) suitably qualified and experienced Medical Secretaries to join our busy division.

Working as part of a team, the post-holder will support the provision of an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service to the consultants, specialist nurses and other medical staff, prioritising work to ensure deadlines are met

The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

The post holder will be expected to maintain a high standard of secretarial support; to meet the needs of the clinical team within the Clinical Core Services Division ensuring that accurate and up to date typing of clinic letters and correspondence is achieved through digital dictation.

Knowledge of medical terminology is essential as well as being flexible and able to work as part of a team as well as knowledge of using Digital Dictation will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidates will work mainly at East Surrey Hospital however may also be required to cover ‘outreach’ services at Crawley Hospital.
