Job overview
We are looking for a team lead Occupational Therapist for the stroke unit and neuro outliers service. We are looking for somebody who is forward thinking, innovative and has depth of knowledge and experience of Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions within a wide range of neurological conditions. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the service delivery, attending stroke governance meetings and meetings with external partners regarding stroke pathways. This includes the exciting opportunity to continue to develop the utilisation of our stroke specific therapy gym space. You will be confident in collecting data for SSNAP and using outcome measures specific for stroke/neurology. You will have skills and experience to manage a complex caseload, excellent knowledge and skills in moving and handling and complex equipment provision. You will have experience in supervising staff and be an accredited practice placement educator.
The Therapy department is committed to providing an environment of excellent professional growth and offers daily team huddles and regular departmental meetings; ensuring effective communication within the teams. We incorporate CPD time, regular performance reviews and service development projects. There is also the opportunity to attend and engage in stroke specific MDT teaching sessions which are run fortnightly.
