Working alongside the Head of Nursing, for Emergency Care and ED Matron, Emergency Department and a senior multi-disciplinary team. You will be part of a dynamic and committed team within the Paediatric Emergency Department.

PED also has cross divisional working with the other Paediatric services, (Inpatients, Children’s Assessment Unit, and elective admissions ensuring cohesive paediatric service from arrival to discharge.

The Paediatric Emergency Department, (PED) has its own Resuscitation Room which has the use of the CT scanner next located adjacent to the PED to optimize digital imaging on our sickest patients. Thus ensuring that we are at the forefront of Emergency Care, delivering optimum services for trauma patients, as well as other Paediatric emergencies.  The Senior Nursing team supports our teams of Clinicians, Sisters and nursing staff in delivering this care alongside developing their clinical and management skills.

Within this role there will be dedicated management time to ensure that you have the ability to manage your team effectively working with your paediatric senior colleagues across the trust, which includes a clinical facilitator who works across divisions in all Paediatric services.
