Job overview

To strengthen our team and respond to increasing demand we are looking for a dynamic and confident leader to join our senior theatre team within recovery.

We provide a range of specialties across our two sites: 10 theatres at our East Surrey sit, providing 24-hour emergency cover and elective operating, and 4 theatres at our Crawley site, providing day surgery procedures.

The post will be based within Recovery on the East Surrey Hospital site, where we provide 24/7 cover and this requires shift rotation, including; evenings, weekends and night duties.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and managerial support for the junior staff working within the recovery unit of the operating theatre department. You will also work closely with fellow theatre practitioners, team leads and clinicians in maintaining, improving and developing high standards of patient care.

We pride ourselves on supporting staff through training and development.

You will be keen to develop and contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe care with a real focus on continually improving the patient experience.

The successful candidate should have a “can do” approach in supporting the theatre, wards and departments objectives and they will be able to demonstrate the Trust Values and expected behaviours.
