To diversify our rotational offer we are adding new rotations*. These will include
- ICU
- Palliative Care
*These rotations will start once vacancy rate reduced to agreed level.
Our department operates an integrated therapy service, where Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists work alongside each other in each of the clinical areas. The culture of multi-disciplinary working is well established and respected within the hospital.
The Therapy department is committed to providing an environment of excellent professional growth and offers daily team huddles and regular departmental meetings; ensuring effective communication within the teams. We incorporate CPD time, regular performance reviews and service development projects. Supervision is highly regarded within the department as a method of ensuring all staff are supported in their professional development and career progression.
Main duties of the job
We are an improvement and education focused team and you will have access to a robust in-service programme and wider training, supported by our practice development OT alongside monthly Band 6 peer support meetings. You will also have the opportunity to supervise junior staff and provide student education. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate on Quality Improvement Initiatives as well as departmental auditing within the Occupational Therapy Team.
