I am Emma Luhr Director of Midwifery at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, and we are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals like yourself, to join our fantastic and supportive expanding team of Midwives within our 5 community hubs across East Berkshire inclusive of Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead and one within the hospital footprint.

We promote homebirths and midwives who would like to give intrapartum care to their women are fully supported.  If you are new to the setting Community setting we will support you to grow and develop, offering a full bespoke induction programme to ensure you can deliver safe and exceptional care.

We are the 4th largest trust to deliver maternity services in England,  with a dedicated Head of Midwifery at both sites, a team of Matrons and Practice Development team to not only support you,  but enable our Midwives, Support Workers to deliver high quality care to all our women and progress the National Maternity Transformation Agenda.

Main duties of the job

As a Community Midwife working closely with colleagues in a supportive and learning environment, you will support the development of the community services in line with the National Maternity Review ‘Better Births’. 

You will support students and liaise closely with other members of the wider team providing excellent evidence-based care to women from a diverse multicultural background. He or she will provide antenatal and postnatal care for women in the Community Hub, hospital or home settings, facilitating informed choice and being involved in the implementation of a personalised pathway.

If you are currently living more than 20 miles away from Wexham Park Hospital/your community hub (40 miles for return journey), the trust can cover your relocations expenses in order for you to join us in our community hubs.
