Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Doctor at Specialist Clinical Fellow grade (ST4+) in Emergency Medicine. Applicants are invited to apply for this post which is 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical. Applicants must have minimum 7 years of Emergency Medicine Experience, post graduation from medical school.
Main duties of the job
Clinical duties will involve daytime, evening and night shifts providing clinical care in the Resus, Majors, Minors and Paediatric ED. Wexham Park Hospital has a very diverse population, and we see a wide range of clinical pathology.
As a specialist Clinical Fellow, you will be involved in the initial assessment and resuscitation of sick patients including emergency procedures and investigations. Overnight you will be expected to support in leading the department, working closely with the Nurse-in-charge and providing support for more junior doctors.

Experience
Essential criteria
- 7 years of Emergency Medicine Experience post graduation from medical school
- Experience working as a Doctor in the UK
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and supervision
- Able to perform core Emergency Medicine Procedures independently (inc but not limited to RSI, Arterial line, central line, chest drain)
Desirable criteria
- Posters, Presentations, Publications
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full GMC with licence to practice at time of application
- Additional life support courses (ATLS, APLS or equivalent)
- MRCEM completed or Primary and Intermediate FRCEM
Special requirements
Essential criteria
- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays as required.
