Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Endoscopy teams at Wexham Park Hospital (main base) and Heatherwood Hospital as an Endoscopy Receptionist on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will play a vital role in supporting the administrative and reception functions of these busy departments, acting as a key point of contact for patients, visitors and clinical staff. Your contribution will help ensure the smooth, efficient running of endoscopy services and a positive patient experience.

This role is ideal for a proactive, organised and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of reception support alongside a wide range of clerical and administrative duties.

Key requirements include:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

  • A professional and compassionate approach when dealing with patients

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all admin and clerical duties for patients coming into the Endoscopy units, ensuring a good patient experience across all Trust sites.

They will have an active role in the implementation, as well as ongoing monitoring of both new and existing appointments systems.

The post holder will assist with meeting Trust targets.

The post holder will be required to offer very high customer service skills for patients and both internal and external staff.

Essential criteria
  • High standard of English communicational skills (verbal and written) with GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • Excel and Word qualification or relevant transferable evidenced experience

Experience

  • Experience of clerical duties
  • High Standard of IT literacy/experience in computer use
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working within a hospital setting
  • Previous front facing customer service experience
