If so, we are looking for you to join our expanding Surgical & Critical Care team right now!
This Team Lead post offers the exciting prospect of leading the team working in Critical Care & Surgery alongside a peer. This will include inpatient work in Critical Care, Surgical Acute Dependency Unit, General Surgery, plastics & ENT.
You will be line managed by our Principal Physiotherapist for ICU, Surgery & Orthopaedics & have peer support with your Band 7 colleagues within team. You will also work closely with our cross-site APP for Critical Care & Critical Care Rehabilitation & Follow-up service to ensure our critical care patients experience an excellent level of rehabilitation from critical care admission to discharge into the community.
This post is 0.6 WTE, there is potential for these hours to be worked flexibly over 7 days alongside additional team lead and clinical specialist colleagues. Main duties of the job
- This post holder will lead, develop and evaluate surgical & critical care physiotherapy services at Wexham Park Hospital.
- They will provide therapeutic clinical expertise, high quality advice and support to the multi-disciplinary team. Clinical supervision, appraisal and teaching will be key components of this role.
- They will demonstrate excellent communication and collaborative working, along with other clinical specialists across the Trust, in order to provide a high quality, efficient service.
- In conjunction with the Principal, APP and peers they will ensure clinical governance targets are met, including the development of clinical standards and protocols, specialist evidence based practice, audit, research, clinical and non-clinical risk management.

- Training and supervision to support all physiotherapy staff and students.
- Experience of audit.
Desirable criteria
- Development of a project or service.
- Leadership - first line management
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of managerial training
- Knowledge of evidence based practice.
- Demonstrate understanding & involvement of Clinical Governance and risk assessment.
- Broad knowledge of health legislation.
- Educators training
Desirable criteria
- CMS/DMS
- Member of relevant clinical interest group
