Job overview

Parkside Private Patients Dept Wexham:

Wk1 Monday-Friday 7am-1pm followed by Saturday 6:45am - 12:45pm

Wk2 Monday-Friday 1pm-7pm 

2 week rota: week one 36 hours per week + week two 30 hours per week

You will join our Parkside Wexham team, supporting our clinical colleagues, patients and relatives offering a high level of customer service. This role is integral to the service we offer, where you will be the first point of contact to all those that present to our ward.

Visa Sponsorship:
This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure all patients, visitors and staff are treated with courtesy, professionalism, dignity and compassion, providing prompt assistance when required.
  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion by respecting individuals’ cultural, religious beliefs, customs and values, while maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with NHS and hospital policies.
  • Work safely and responsibly, adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and relevant policies, including COSHH, infection prevention and control, and safe manual handling procedures.
  • Report all accidents, incidents and concerns involving patients, visitors, colleagues or oneself promptly and in accordance with hospital procedures.
  • Remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious persons, activities or packages to the Unit Manager or designated deputy.
  • Follow established procedures during emergencies, including fire, cardiac arrest and other urgent situations, and respond appropriately within the limits of training and competence.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and comply with hospital policies, including avoiding involvement in patients’ financial affairs or witnessing legal documents such as wills.
  • Maintain awareness of personal competence and responsibilities, undertaking only duties for which appropriately trained and competent, and seeking support or guidance when necessary.

Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Private Healthcare.
  • Knowledge of hospital IT programs; EPIC.
