Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Band 7

Job overview

We have a rare opportunity for a Band 7 therapist who has experience of working with voice and upper airway disorders. If you are a highly motivated individual who shares our determination to deliver top class patient care, then we would love to hear from you! We value our staff highly and you will be supported and encouraged in your role through CPD activity and clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job

The role involves planning and providing therapy to an adult and paediatric upper airway/voice caseload as well as supporting consultant run joint voice and intervention clinics. See job description and addendum for the full description of the role.

You will be based within a very friendly and supportive team of speech and language therapists working predominantly with adult inpatients and outpatients as well as providing a local service for children with cleft lip/palate.

Working for our organisation

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

As well as delivering excellent general hospital services to local people, we provide specialist heart attack, vascular, stroke, spinal, cystic fibrosis and plastic surgery services across a much wider area.

We have three main hospitals - Frimley Park in Frimley near Camberley, Heatherwood in Ascot and Wexham Park near Slough.

Our three core values, and the behaviours that support them, guide everything we do and set out what we expect of our staff in the way they treat patients, visitors, service users and each other, Committed to Excellence, Working Together and Facing the Future.

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital's NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties

In the Therapies Directorate we have a strong EDI culture and welcome applicants who will continue to contribute to the power of diversity we want in our teams to help us deliver our best services to our population
