Specialist Community Dietitian for Adults

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian to join our team of Community Dietitians providing clinical services to adults in the London borough of Sutton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian to work as part of the team delivering nutrition and dietetic care and advice to adults in the areas of nutrition support, home enteral feeding, gastrointestinal conditions and general outpatient clinics.
You will be based with the Community Dietetic team and will receive professional support and supervision from the team leader. We support internal and external training and opportunities for CPD.
We support student training by providing stage 1, 2 and 3 clinical placements.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide holistic and person centred care to all patients who access the service. They will assess and treat patients with a range of nutrition related conditions in the own home, in care/residential or supported living homes or in a clinic setting.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
- HCPC Registration
- Member of British Dietetic Association
- Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
Desirable criteria
- Member of relevant BDA Specialist Interest Group
- FODMAP trained
- Relevant post graduate qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience managing enterally fed patients
- Experience of delivering general dietetic outpatient services
- Evidence of implementing an audit cycle
- Experience of working in a MDT
- Experience of managing patients requiring oral nutritional support
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching/training patients/carers and HCPs.
- Experience of implementing behavior change techniques in the clinical setting
- Experience of working in the community setting including in care homes.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate clinical reasoning
- Demonstrate high level communication skills - both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excell, Powerpoint, Teams)
- Ability to work with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds
