Job overview
Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual for the post of ICT Facilities Manager. The post is underpins the crucial infrastructure components that help deliver the Digital Strategy.
Main duties of the job
Identified within ITIL v3 Facilities Management and will be responsible for ensuring the following aspects of ICT Infrastructure are fit to support critical services:
• Network Cable Management & Containment.
• Network switch room UPS.
• Datacentre Environment including: -
o Cooling
o UPS
o Power distribution
o Physical security
o Fire Suppression
o CCTV
• Scheduling Maintenance to minimise disruption to services.
• Controlled Physical Access and monitoring.
• Training of IT support staff.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Educated to Degree Level in a relevant IT subject or equivalent
- experience plus Specialist knowledge to post graduate level
Desirable criteria
- In-depth knowledge of National Data Centre standards for hosting services and applying standards to Swansea Bay Health Board facilities
Essential Aptitude and abilities
Essential criteria
- Abilities required to perform effectively in the role, e.g. Good problem-solving and analysis skills with ability to think clearly and logically
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and have a high level of accuracy for information gathering and configuration tasks
Desirable criteria
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understand ing, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh

- Ability to travel between Health Board sites and attend local and national meetings.
- Able to work hours flexibly.
- Willingness to support On Call arrangements
- Advanced IT skills in a range of desktop applications e.g., Excel, Power BI.
