Are you an experienced Sonographer who is looking for a new challenge near the beautiful Gower coastline? If so we would like to hear from you!
This post will be based at Neath Port Talbot Hospital which hosts the Minor Injury Unit and will become the Health Board's center of excellence for elective orthopedic and spinal surgery.
Our service offers Sonographers the experience of a wide variety of Ultrasound scanning,
You would be working within a dynamic, enthusiastic team of Sonographers and alongside a team of supportive radiologists.
A structured induction program will be provided for the successful applicant. The health board is committed to the development of radiographers employed within the service.
A good work life balance is important to us at Swansea Bay UHB however, the opportunity to work additional overtime hours is a possibility.
The radiology teams across all our hospital sites are very welcoming to new staff and you would be able to participate in a range of social activities outside the work environment such as paddle boarding and running clubs.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to expand our dynamic and motivated Ultrasound team and are inviting hard working and enthusiastic Sonographers to apply for a job with us at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The multidisciplinary ultrasound team at Swansea have an outstanding reputation for the services provided, where the Sonographer team undertakes a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations that includes Abdominal, Gynaecological, Obstetric, Vascular, MSK and sonographer led acute imaging.
The post available would suit experienced hard working sonographers who are interested in developing both clinical and leadership skills. We are looking for professional individuals who are forward thinking with great patient and team working skills. All candidates must have a suitable graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PgC, PgD, MSc) and have current professional registration (HCPC/NMC). FMF Nuchal Accreditation is essential.
There are 2 rooms in antenatal clinic and 3 general rooms, equipped with Samsung units
