Job overview

We are looking for a self motivated enthusiastic person to join our estates team in Singleton Hospital as a maintenance carpenter. Candidates ideally would be time served and hold the correct qualifications.

To undertake routine maintenance and repair of a range of building services, plant, equipment,  building structures, external and internal works and finishes within the Health Board to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff. To  provide  carpentry services to Swansea Bay University Health Board.  This job will involve working on a on call rota as part of out of hours cover for the main site with all other health board premises.

Main duties of the job

Required to maintain our buildings and infrastructure to excellent standards of building controls.  Required to manufacture and repair items as needed and organise daily routine to incorporate regular task requirements and schedule work requirements to the most efficient way, with guidance from line managers. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
