Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.
This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administration support officer to join the Health Access Team for asylum seekers within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The Health Access Team is a dynamic and innovative nurse led service. It provides a holistic, person centred approach in assessment of an individual’s physical and emotional well-being, The team promotes healthy behaviours and delivers public health services. The team sign posts and refers to services, voluntary support and translated health information. The team advocates for individuals, and represents the needs of asylum seekers in a variety of strategic forums.
The team promotes a nurturing supportive environment to ensure Staff will thrive and reach their full potential within the service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Level 3 qualification eg NVQ/QCF or RSA 111 (or equivalent).
Desirable criteria
- Business administration qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of information governance protocol and importance of confidentiality. Knowledge of organisational policies, procedures and relevant IT packages.
- Working knowledge of filing/data systems including record management/destruction of records.
Desirable criteria
- Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of dealing with confidential matters and sensitive data, and regarding the appropriate maintenance and storage of records
- Experience of communicating with all levels of professional staff and the public
- Demonstrate experience in an administrative role.
Desirable criteria
- Administering finance systems, e.g. requisitions, budget monitoring
- Working in an NHS environment.
Aptitude and abilities
Essential criteria
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve and fact finding.
- Able to demonstrate situations where effective leadership skills have been used within an admin role to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when working with others.
- Ability to work on own initiative, work to deadlines and under pressure to organise multiple tasks. Able to act within area of competency and make appropriate judgements.
- Ability to work within a team to be flexible in relation to service demands and requests of the manager.
Desirable criteria
- Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
