Job overview
Swansea University Health Board is seeking to appoint to a 10 session Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist post in colorectal cancer, who has a commitment to high quality patient care, high level research, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets and excellence in education/training. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of SACT and for the above tumour site as well as expanding a trials portfolio in these cancers for the patients of the South West Wales Cancer Centre.
Main duties of the job
This post is for a locum consultant clinical oncologist with a sub specialist interest in colorectal cancers. This is a 10-session post and working hours are flexible to accommodate candidates who may have caring duties. There are opportunities to develop off site working as needed to allow remote chemotherapy prescribing.
The postholder will provide a comprehensive non –surgical oncology service (SACT) for patients with colorectal cancer. The postholder with work closely with the surgical team based in Hwyel Dda University Health board and surgeons in Morriston Hospital. The postholder will join a team of 2 clinical oncologists and 2 medical oncologists delivering non -surgical treatment for colorectal cancer across South West Wales
