Band 7

Welcome to Swansea Bay University Health Board. We welcome applications from people who share our values: caring for each other, working together and always improving.

Swansea Bay University Health Board reserve the right to close this vacancy after 24 hours if a large number of suitable applications are received. Therefore we encourage early applications to ensure consideration for this post.

Prior consideration for this vacancy will be given to staff currently awaiting redeployment and we therefore reserve the right to withdraw this advert at any stage.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh.  Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.

Following promotion of the current post-holder, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join the pharmacy medical team at Morriston Hospital, which is located on the edge of the Gower peninsula (with its cliffs, great beaches and surfing).

Excellent relationships with clinical colleagues allow the team to work closely with our medical and nursing colleagues teams to contribute first class pharmaceutical care to medical patients in the emergency department and across a range of acute medical wards.

Our team endeavours to provide highly skilled pharmaceutical care early in the patient’s inpatient stay to help optimise the quality of prescribing and clinical care for the patient.

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, motivated and talented pharmacist to join our team. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with good time management and organisational skills.

Support and mentoring will be provided to the successful candidate by team members to ensure that you fulfil your potential in this exciting and challenging role. Going forward, an opportunity to undertake and develop an independent prescribing role will be possible.

Experience of tutoring clinical diploma and pre-registration pharmacists will be welcome but is not essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
