Job overview

The purpose of this post is to work as part of the Cancer Research Delivery Team, based in Singleton Hospital

The post will provide administrative support for a range of clinical trials/research projects within the Cancer Research Delivery Team, ensuring all site files and data bases are maintained to current legislation and Swansea Bay UHB policies and procedures

To efficiently set up clinical trials/research projects, ensuring all necessary local Health Board permissions have been received, acting as the first point of contact    

To actively engage and work alongside all healthcare professionals and Clinicians involved in clinical trials within the hospital setting

Main duties of the job

We are seeking two capable, enthusiastic and well organised applicants to provide administrative support to the conduct of Clinical Trials as part of the Cancer research delivery team at  Singleton Hospital.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team, providing data management and research administrative support as needed for all clinical trial activities within the department. The post involves the preparation, coordination and submission of clinical trials for set up. The post holder would be required to liaise with other departments, negotiating research specific tests and to ensure funding is provided. Good computer skills are essential for this role using systems such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and national and local databases.

The post holder would be expected to work without supervision and actively participate in unit meetings. A background in Research and Clinical trials would be desirable for this role. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
