Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit to a Band 4 Personal Assistant post to provide dedicated support to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Officer. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with strong administrative experience and excellent communication skills to support a key role within the Health Board.

The post is essential to ensuring the EDI Officer can work effectively and inclusively, particularly in line with Access to Work adjustments. This includes diary and meeting management, document formatting for screen reader accessibility, and occasional local travel between sites using your own vehicle.

We are particularly looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Experience working in administrative roles within a public sector or healthcare environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Confidence in organising meetings, managing diaries, and preparing reports
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Confidence in supporting someone with a visual impairment (including use of a guide dog)

Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide secretarial and admin support to the EDI Officer, including diary management and minute-taking
  • Format reports and documents for accessibility using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Support preparation and set-up for EDI training sessions, meetings and events
  • Act as the first point of contact for the EDI Officer, handling enquiries with professionalism
  • Assist with physical navigation and provide pastoral support while on-site across different ABUHB locations
  • Maintain effective filing systems and support the wider EDI team when required

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
