Job overview
We are recruiting for Health Care Support Worker Bank staff throughout South East Wales.
If you are a highly motivated, skilled, knowledgeable, dynamic individual with excellent caring and communication skills we would welcome your application.
We are looking to appoint caring patient-focused Bank Health Care Support Workers who are enthusiastic individuals to work in various locations covering all areas throughout Community Wards, Scheduled and Unscheduled Care Divisions, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.
Main duties of the job
Please do not apply if you do not have all of the below. The successful applicants will have:
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 (minimum) in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
- A minimum of 6 months recent experience in a care or domiciliary setting.
- Proven track record of being reliable and dependable.
- A flexible approach to work.
- Right to Work (those who require sponsorship or who are sponsored by another organisation will not be eligible to apply)

You will need to bring evidence of the above requirements to the interview if you are shortlisted. Failure to supply these documents at interview will result in your interview being cancelled.
Please note successful applicants will be required to attend a 5 day clinical skills course, availability to attend is mandatory. If you are unable to commit to this course your application will be rejected.
Upon completion of the training, you have 4 weeks to complete a portfolio workbook which needs to be signed off at ward level per shift you work. You must evidence that you have the necessary competencies as outlined in your workbook. In order to complete this portfolio you must be available to work Bank Shifts immediately upon completion of your training.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
