Job overview
We have various opportunities across the Trust at the RVI and Freeman Hospital sites serving food to staff, visitors patient and off site facilities, as a part of the team you will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the department in line with food hygiene regulations and Trust policies.
There are various vacancies including Catering Assistants, Catering Porters and drivers.

Main duties of the job
- Cleaning of the equipment within the department.
- Working on the food counter serving customers.
- Working on the Till and taking payment and cashing up.
- working in the deli bar making fresh sandwiches and salads.
- stocking of goods and stock rotation.
- Dealing with complaints.
- Working in other areas were food is served.
- Running for food that is required on the front.
- Working on the patient belt when required
- Working in the dish wash area stripping the trolleys and placing the crockery through the washers.
- Filling in of departmental paper work.
- General cleaning duties within the department.
- At all times following food hygiene and trust policy regulations.
