Job overview

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual who wants to join the existing multi-disciplinary team within the Central Locality Inpatient Service based at the Bamburgh Clinic, St Nicholas Hospital, Gosforth. 

 

We currently have a vacancy for a Band 5 staff nurse on Fellside ward, Bamburgh Clinic, St Nicholas Hospital. Fellside ward is 18 bedded male acute admission ward based at St Nicholas Hospital Gosforth.  

 

Inpatient services provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and care to patients experiencing acute mental health problems.

 

You will join a dynamic and committed nursing team; all wards within the service offer comprehensive induction, preceptorship and clinical supervision.

 

We are seeking a confident and assertive individual who is keen to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and service development.

 

You should have an interest in working within a busy and challenging environment and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate a warm, patient centred approach to care.

 

Applicants must have current NMC registration.

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to organise and manage the process of nursing, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to service users with learning disabilities and mental and physical health needs.

 

To provide the highest possible standard of professional, skilled and effective nursing care and to work within a multidisciplinary approach to provide high quality person centred care.
