Job overview

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust provides a highly specialist service for adults with Mental Health conditions and/or a Learning Disability. Our ward at the Royal Victoria Infirmary is an specialist  inpatient service for adults with eating disorders who require assessment, care and treatment. 

We have exciting position available on Ward 31a for a Clinical Nurse Lead with eating disorder experience to join our team.

Main duties of the job

Work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within an Inpatient setting.

Act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager.

Facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence based care and treatment.

Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.

Lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.

Develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.

Facilitate staff appraisals and Clinical Supervision and support personal development plans.

Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

Education and Qualification

  • Professional Nursing qualification e.g.RMN/RNMH/ RNLD
  • ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
  • Student Assessor /Mentor
