Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy dynamic photographic division of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Trust. The Medical Photography Department which is based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary provides a wide range of photographic services for the Trust / Outreach Clinics / Newcastle Hospitals at Cramlington, including evening and weekend working.
To work effectively in a team of 23 with supervision and training to provide an efficient, reliable and high quality imaging service.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, conscientious and motivated individual who is able to demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team.
You must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Comprehension of photographic principles and application of theoretical and practical knowledge/skills alongside a clear working knowledge of Photoshop.
You will be based primarily within Ophthalmic Photography, to efficiently provide a range of imaging services including retinal photography, anterior segment photography, facial photography and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Training will be given to provide additional services to Clinical Photography to cover dermatology clinics.
You must have a HND in photography or equivalent is essential.
We would like to see a varied portfolio of photography work with evidence using Adobe Photoshop.

To perform administrative and clerical tasks as necessary for the efficiency of the service.
