Job overview
The post holder will work with Senior developers in the team be provide input in to highly complex strategic and innovative solutions with the ability to then design and develop those solutions.
As a Frontend Developer the post holder will have significant input to ensure service delivery and quality standards are maintained within the specialist innovative technical development management unit. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the compilation of the business plan requiring development of innovative solutions that will support the trust’s Digital Clinical Strategy.

In summary, the post holder is responsible for developing and delivering secure software solutions using modern frameworks and practices initially on a greenfield solution. Working in an agile environment the post holder will be expected to work within a cross functional team and proactively drive continuous improvement in software, techniques and processes.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent experience, and specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate courses & experience or equivalent level, plus in-depth technical and strategic knowledge.
- Requires specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and professional experience of disciplines including technical development, Quality Assurance and IM&T service delivery acquired through training and experience over an extended period.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience with any modern JavaScript framework, preference is REACT
- Experience of webpack or similar task/build runner tools
- Writing Front End tests (using Jest and React testing library or similar)
Desirable criteria
- Experience of Cloud technologies
- Experience using a TDD approach
- Working knowledge of current CSS in JS solutions
- CI/CD experience
