Job overview
We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the NEP Functional Development Team in a Functional Development Support role.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider NEP team on process and system developments, supporting the management of cloud-based services, system patching and upgrades as well as supporting NEP Clients with issue resolution. They will be the first point of contact for the resolution of system and technology-related Service Desk calls, working with the relevant service providers to ensure the effective and timely resolution of all technical and system-related issues.

Main duties of the job
As Functional Development Support, you will be a key member of the Functional Development team responsible for supporting project delivery and contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the NEP Cloud solution and IT infrastructure.
Your duties will include the development of service extensions and integrations, managing system-related incidents, undertaking system and data configuration tasks, supporting patching and upgrade cycles, and working with third-party providers to troubleshoot more complex issues. You will collaborate with internal technical and programme teams as well as partner organisations to ensure service continuity and an excellent user experience.
You will also be involved in data and usage analysis, report generation, and the creation of technical documentation, while providing informal guidance to colleagues and supporting the wider service desk operation when required.
This role involves hybrid working, typically three days in the office and two from home each week. Some out-of-hours support may occasionally be required to facilitate system changes or planned upgrades.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Functional Development Support role provides essential technical support across multiple systems and platforms used within the NEP Cloud solution. You will act as a key contact for resolving system and service-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes while upholding high standards of service.
You will support the development and implementation of system enhancements, extensions, integrations, configuration changes, and process improvements. This includes working with project teams to deliver work packages, preparing technical documentation, and assisting in training delivery when required.
Key responsibilities include:
· Developing and maintaining integrations and service extensions
· Monitoring and maintaining Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services
· Managing and assisting with program of work items
· Second-line support for technical and service desk issues
· Supporting patching, upgrades and testing cycles
· Assisting with configuration of system data and user access
· Producing detailed usage reports and technical analysis
· Maintaining accurate documentation in line with internal standards
· Collaborating with internal IT and external suppliers to resolve complex technical issues
The post requires a working knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Office tools, and ideally some understanding of Oracle Cloud’s offerings for database and development environments, and project management methodologies. You should be comfortable working independently, while also contributing to the delivery of shared team objectives.
