Job overview
We’re looking for a proactive and organised leader to take charge of our vehicle hygiene operations.
Working closely with managers and colleagues across the business, you’ll ensure all scheduled vehicle cleans are completed on time and to a high standard. Leading a small team, you’ll be responsible for the effective planning and allocation of duties to hygiene staff—making sure work is carried out efficiently and resources are used wisely.

- Fleet Management - Continuous and consistent awareness of the status of all operational vehicles across your fleet to make informed management and operational decisions.
- Vehicle Servicing & Repairs - Commercial vehicle and van servicing and repairs, carried out by our highly trained technicians.
- Fleet Fitting & Equipment - Vehicles equipped according to regulatory and clinical best practice to perform a specific care response.

Essential criteria
- Experience of managing people
- Experience of operating a vehicle car, passenger service vehicles.
- Experience of implementing positive change to systems and or working practices
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Team
- Ability to use a Fleet Maintenance system
- Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Qualification in Maths & English
- Ability to diagnose and evaluate faults in equipment comprising of mechanical, pneumatic, or combination systems.
- Obtain good analytical skills to enable the post holder to work through problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Significant experience working in a related environment.
- Fully computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. In addition, adapt to any new software updates or developments
Desirable criteria
- C1 driving license entitlement
- Knowledge of the safe use of chemical cleaners, decontamination and properties of cleaning substances. This includes COSHH regulations.
- Experience of working in a medical engineering sector environment
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Forklift license
- Understand the way in which medical equipment is deployed relative to the care and treatment of patients in the operational environment.
- To have a good understanding of the safety issues relating to the equipment including Health and Safety legislation, Handling and Moving regulations, COSSH regulations, MHRA recommendations and Adverse Incident reporting procedures.
