We help anyone with serious mental health problems and those in recovery for addictions pursue their employment ambitions in a highly person-centred way using an evidence-based approach that is proven to work.
Following service developments we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Band 6 IPS Employment Supervisor in the North Cumbrian Locality.

Main duties of the job
The Employment Supervisor will provide a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users. You may manage a small caseload of clients to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment or retain their employment in line with their preferences.
The Responsibilities
- Working closely with the other IPS Team Leaders across the Trust to effectively lead and manage the team, ensuring the effective delivery of all work-focused and non-work focused interventions.
- Maintain a small caseload working with people experiencing more complex barriers to employment and ensuring that knowledge gained from this work is shared with the wider team.
- To oversee the performance of the IPS Service team to ensure that individual and team targets are achieved.
- Working closely with the IPS Service Managers to implement service developments and new initiatives.

- Facilitate an inclusive management style
- Experience of working with client group or similar
- Knowledge of employment law and the Equality Act 2010
- High degree of personal organisation

Working for CNTW's Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Team, the Employment Supervisor will manage a team of Employment Specialists providing outstanding supervision, field mentoring, training, caseload management support and role modelling, underpinned by the internationally recognised and scientifically validated Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model as part of the holistic recovery plan for individuals accessing Secondary Care Mental Health Services.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Multi-disciplinary team work. Proven ability to develop therapeutic partnership with service users and carers.
- Proven ability to be able to communicate interventions to service users.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with people with mental health problems or a similar user group
Desirable criteria
- Further relevant post qualification training
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the statutory issues which impact on service users.
- Knowledge of disability and special needs issues, policies and legislation in relation to employment
- Good understanding of the principles and practice of supported employment
- Good understanding of the principles and practice of supported employment

- Experience of opening up job opportunities with a range of employers
