Job overview
Northumbria Urology services is offering an exciting opportunity for a experienced, motivated and passionate clinical practitioner to join our urology specialist team.
The team is predominately lead by clinical practitioners, who deliver a range of urology services covering both cancer and benign disease, from referral into secondary care. We are a team who are not adverse to change and encourage proactive thinking in order to develop our services.
As a senior member of the team you will play a key role in decision making , collaboration, teaching and service development to ensure we continue to offer patients within our service to receive a high and safe standard of care.
Main duties of the job
to provide continuous clinical expertise and practice autonomously in the absence of medical cover
Provide skills and knowledge within the service to patients/cares and colleagues
assess/ plan and implement pathways of care.
work with members of MDT and external services.
carry out investigations, interpretation of results and sharing this information with patients and colleagues .

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Professional registration with NMC / HCPC / GPC.
- Diploma/ Degree relevant to registration
- Post Graduate qualification relevant to registration
- Recognised teaching/mentorship qualification
- Registered mentor
- Practitioner course or Advanced clinical skills training
- Must complete non medical prescriber course within 24 months of appointment
- Specialist area qualifications
- Relevant training related to specialist area
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Masters Level of knowledge

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
