The Role

We are looking to recruit a senior academic into the role of pathway lead for Dietetics with a vision to create and deliver our innovative Enhanced Practice curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to co-develop and lead the development and our extensive enhanced practice provision alongside Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry.  

You will have academic responsibility for ensuring that the pathway meets educational requirements of enhanced practice across the breath of dietetic practice. You will work within the Enhanced practice team with oversight of the core pathway, in addition you will have the opportunity to work with our Dietetic pre-registration curriculum team. 

You will work within our established partnerships working professional bodies, service users, employers, including statutory and independent sectors as part of course design and delivery, and as the pathway lead you will be responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with stakeholders to contribute to high quality education of health and care professionals. 

 Qualifications Required

•    Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
•    HCPC dietitian registrant
•    A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
•    Active membership of British Dietetic Association

 

Our Successful Candidate

 

You will need to be a HCPC registered Dietitian, as well as having a significant and successful track record of teaching, learning and assessment practice, and experience of assessment processes at different Higher Education levels.

Strong experience of developing and delivering education programmes within the UK with an understanding of enhanced level practice, and line managing academic teams within a relevant portfolio are required for this role. 

You will also require knowledge and experience of reviewing, modifying, developing and enhancing curriculum and programmes, and experience of enhancing learner satisfaction and outcomes.
