Job overview

Stores & Equipment Operative 37.5 Hours  - 12 Month FTC


Main duties will be receipt and distribution of stores for Community Children's Nursing Services. This involves collection of stores from the delivery point in the different locations. Checking and putting away stores accurately. Maintaining and checking of stock levels, ensuring stock rotation, checking expiry dates. Working under direction of the Nursing Team to stock up and replenish consumables in clinical areas. To support the processes around medical equipment, service dates and ensuring databases are updated timely. 


Providing and maintaining high levels of standards within the department, to deliver an efficient service.

Main duties of the job

To undertake general stores duties such as ordering, stock rotation, storeroom audits and more, to provide an effective and efficient service with a strong emphasis on the quality of service provided. This role will also manage the Community Nursing bed equipment database assuring compliance to MHRA guidance.  A flexible working system is essential to meet the needs of the service. To support and update databases on different types of equipment and ensure prompt notification of expiry dates to Nursing team. To delivery stock and equipment to families in the community in a timely manner.
