Use of AI when writing Job Applications

While AI tools can be helpful in generating ideas and drafting initial versions, they should never be the sole source for writing your job application.  AI cannot truly understand the specific job you’re applying for or what makes you a good fit.  Therefore, it’s crucial to personalise any AI generated content to accurately reflect your skills, experiences and aspirations.  Relying solely on AI to write your application may result in generic, impersonal and potentially inaccurate content.  Always review and refine any AI-generated text to ensure if effectively communicates your experience, skills, accomplishments, and aspirations and demonstrates your suitability for the position.

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the children and young people’s eating disorder service in Coventry and Warwickshire.

This is a full time, permanent role and you will become part of a growing and thriving CAMHS eating disorders (ED) day unit and outpatient service. Experienced Occupational Therapists who are passionate about making a difference for children, young people, and families, we want to hear from you.

The Trust’s CAMHS eating disorders services are expanding, with new and exciting care pathways currently in development.  If you have an interest in ED, we offer a specialist and supportive environment to grow your career.

There will be opportunities to become involved in-service development and delivery across a number of initiatives, and we would seek to work with you to develop your interests within the whole eating disorder pathway (CAMHS out-patient, intensive outreach and ARFID).

Main duties of the job

Provide dedicated Highly Specialist Occupational Therapy (OT) within the children’s and young people’s eating disorder service, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.

Work collaboratively and effectively within a multi-disciplinary community team, liaising with other Occupational Therapy and multi-disciplinary staff within the Trust, as well as inpatient and community-based services as required.

You will work alongside other disciplines and will lead on matters related to OT including clinical prioritisation, organisation, delivery, and the further development of occupational therapy provision within this expanding service.

A high level of clinical and professional expertise is required to ensure that the longer-term needs of clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated, specialist, efficient and effective service. Extensive experience working with children and families in mental health settings is essential, along with either knowledge of sensory integration theory and approaches or a commitment to gaining this through available training opportunities.

The post holder will be invited to play a role in the local strategic development of the ARFID provision and as an emerging area, there is scope and need for service innovation, evaluation, improvement and research.

To support the team leader, clinical and professional leads with delegated parts of service improvement projects and audits.  To work autonomously and to supervise and support designated staff.
