Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Clinical Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead service delivery, support staff, and ensure responsive, high‑quality patient care within a dynamic clinical environment.
This role forms part of the transformation of community services in Coventry aligning with the NHS national priorities of shifting care from hospitals to communities and the implementation of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. Delivering holistic support for complex needs, preventing admissions through early intervention, and using digital tools to improve health outcomes and tackle inequalities. This involves multi-disciplinary teams working together locally to embed joined-up care, reducing hospital demand, and empowering communities for better prevention and access.

Main duties of the job
As Clinical Manager, you will:
- Be accountable for your own actions in line with the Code of Professional Conduct, contributing to corporate objectives and acting within Trust, local, and statutory guidelines.
- Apply highly developed communication skills to maintain service quality and manage unexpected events effectively.
- Act as a knowledgeable team leader and resource, embedding clinical governance in practice and supporting staff and service users in policy development.
- Identify and assess complex clinical and non‑clinical issues, implement resolutions, and monitor/audit outcomes.
- Oversee interdepartmental and organisational activities, including HR processes, complaints management, appraisals, and patient flow.
- Lead on education and training for staff groups, patients, and carers within defined areas.
- Ensure effective use of information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely patient, workforce, and resource data.
- Lead the effective management of staff rotas, proactively monitoring capacity and demand, adjusting schedules in real time, and escalating concerns to operational leads as required.

The group is currently trialling a new Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) model following a collaborative event with internal and external stakeholders. This pilot aims to explore team structures and assess the impact on patient experience. While no formal redesign has taken place yet, the outcomes of this trial may inform future service delivery and team configuration across the group.
If you are successful in your application, please be aware that your team structure and line management may be subject to change in the future as part of this evolving model. However, any formal changes will be preceded by appropriate consultation in line with organisational policy.
