Job overview
We have an exciting, innovative and specialist role within our RISE Early Help Service. The role will be based within our Mental Health in Schools Team offer, which was part of a successful trailblazer program stemming from the green paper in 2017.
We are looking for an experienced CBT therapist with a passion for early intervention and prevention to join our team.

Main duties of the job
To deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within the North Warwickshire Mental Health in Schools Team.
To provide supervision and support clinicians within your team.
To carry a caseload and co-ordinate care for children, young people and families. Through this, the post holder will assess children referred to the service and plan, implement and evaluate treatment plans.
As a member of the RISE team the post holder will display the ability to liaise internally and externally as appropriate with other professionals, attending and contributing to Multi-Disciplinary meetings, to appropriately support the young person. Whilst also being able to support other professionals through guidance and consultation to ensure the effective provision of the service.
To work within the MHST Leadership team to further develop the service and the professionals within it, for example through offering Continued Professional Development Sessions, supporting the facilitation of group work, and consultations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
If you’re successful you will receive regular management and clinical supervision, an annual appraisal and fantastic training opportunities within the Trust, universities, and the local authorities. We are part of the CYP IAPT initiative and work in partnership with the Reading and Northampton CYP-IAPT collaborative where we have ongoing opportunities for further study such as the postgraduate Certificate in low/high intensity CBT supervision and leadership course.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC under this domain, OR
- Other registered professional such as Nursing, Occupational Therapist, Social worker with postgraduate qualification in CBT with provisional or full accreditation with the BABCP
Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria
- Skilled in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management
- Knowledge of recent changes and current issues in mental health service provision
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to manage time effectively, managing a caseload and prioritising on basis of need.
Desirable criteria
- Specialist Knowledge of the range of young people’s mental health problems and mental health services
- Knowledge of a range of models currently used in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of collaborative multi-disciplinary and multi-agency work
- Experience in supervision and management of staff
Desirable criteria
- Significant experience as a clinician in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services
Other
Essential criteria
- Car owner / driver with ability to travel independently in a timely manner
