Join us as a Trust Grade Doctor in  General Adult Psychiatry. Based in our Crisis Resolution home treatment Team in Nuneaton

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • The assessment of patients referred to or under the care of the North Warwickshire and Rugby CRHT, arranging all investigations and treatment, including regular review as specified by the Consultant.
  • Medical care of patients with referral to/or advice from the GP and or other doctors where appropriate.
  • Commencing and supervising treatment, including medication and other psychological treatment programmes as indicated and approved by the Consultant.
  • Upkeep of clinical records, which are primarily electronic, reviewing notes and checking investigation results.
  • Regular domiciliary visits to assess & review patients as required
  • Referring patients to other specialties and liaising with other agencies as appropriate.
  • Preparing discharge letters or reports as required.
  • Liaison with carers and family members as appropriate.
  • Regular feedback to the Consultant and/or the MDT regarding problems and patients progress.
  • Attending handovers, case conferences, safeguarding or planning meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings and carrying out any other duties allocated by the Consultant, including follow up of patients.
