Job overview
This post is available due to development of our outreach team. OT's in our eating disorders service will find passion and dedication to our service users in our team to support CPD and provide great quality interventions as part of the MDT. Keeping OT an important part of the MDT and developing extended therapy skills will enable you to deliver great care.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking Occupational Therapists to take a specialist clinical role in a new, innovative all aged eating disorder service. You should have experience of working within an MDT and will need to be able to share and demonstrate specialist OT expertise and share this with the MDT. You will need to be able to assess plan, evaluate and provide occupational focused treatment in a variety of settings and in partnership with clients and families. You will also use interpretation and analytical skills to recommend the best evidenced based therapeutic interventions to maximise client's functional skills. It would be an advantage to have had training in eating disorder specific therapies such as MANTRA and CBT-E although these can be provided.

The All Age Eating Disorder Service is forward thinking in developing care across the age range using evidence based treatments and providing quality, safe and prompt interventions. The service is part of the FREED network to deliver care for early intervention in the treatment of eating disorders and we deliver on prompt access and waiting times across the service regardless of age. The service is building its existing pathways around severe enduring eating disorders, ARFID and physical health care. Currently we are extending our all age model across the whole of the Black Country. Our most recent CQC inspection of the service rated us Good in all areas and Outstanding in responsiveness and our vision is to work as a team to continuously improve.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will provide compassionate and evidence based care and treatment to people who have an eating disorder. The clinical work will include assessment and quality intervention for clients to include care co – ordination, liaison with families, GP’s, community services, acute hospital provisions, specialist inpatient provisions and other appropriate partners. The post holder will have advanced assessment and clinical reasoning skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally experience of working within the eating disorder specialty.
