Job overview

The Adult Community Mental Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams that offer assessment, treatment and care to adults who experience complex mental health difficulties.

The Clinical Lead in collaboration with the CMHT Manager will develop and coordinate a multi-professional approach providing evidence based mental health care to all those who use the service

To deliver operational management, clinical leadership and supervision to designated teams of staff.

To support the on-going day-to-day management of a multi- disciplinary team. To liaise with external/internal services including primary care to ensure that services are coordinated and that pathways into and out of the service are managed effectively and efficiently.

Main duties of the job

This is a leadership role and the post holder will work closely with the Team Manager, Operational Manager and Locality Matron to achieve positive outcomes in the teams’ clinical management to:

 Providing day to day clinical leadership ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained

  • Identify the skill mix required for staff recruitment and support this process
  • Audit case notes and care plans against approved audit tool.
  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of interventions and treatments where there are complex issues.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and advice to the team and partnership agencies relating to mental health services.
  • Undertake Care Co-ordination responsibilities for a designated reduced case load of individuals

You will be enthusiastic, dynamic and committed to leadership and multi-disciplinary working.  We are looking for an effective leader who demonstrates various qualities ranging from innovation, problem solving and empathy and understanding.
